Analyzing Disturbed Di usion on Networks

چکیده
This work provides the rst detailed investigation of the disturbed di usion scheme FOS/C introduced in [17] as a type of di usion distance measure within a graph partitioning framework related to Lloyd's k-means algorithm [14]. After outlining connections to distance measures proposed in machine learning, we show that FOS/C can be related to random walks despite its disturbance. Its convergence properties regarding load distribution and edge ow characterization are examined on two di erent graph classes, namely torus graphs and distancetransitive graphs (including hypercubes), representatives of which are frequently used as interconnection networks.

Microblogging and social news web sites like Twitter are largely used as an important source of up-to-date information. Consequently, organizations and firms have interest in using those platforms to di↵use their own news and updates. متن کاملLow Bit Rate Image Coding in the Scale Space
Scale-space representation has been extensively studied in the computer vision community for analyzing image structures at di erent scales. This paper borrows and develops useful mathematical tools from scale-space theory to facilitate the task of image compression. Instead of compressing the original image directly, we propose to compress its scale-space representation obtained by the forward ...
متن کاملAnalogue Architectures for Vision: Cellular Neural Networks and Neuromorphic Circuits
Vision machines based on actual computational methods require the development of simple low-level feature detectors. The low-level feature detectors measure local image properties as scale, orientation, and velocity. Analog VLSI devices that mimic some functionality of biological systems appear to be robust, low power consuming, and fast enough to solve vision problems in real time. In this the...
متن کاملAn Input-Level Dependent Approach to Color Error Di usion
Conventional grayscale error di usion halftoning produces worms and other objectionable artifacts. Tone dependent error di usion (Li and Allebach) reduces these artifacts by controlling the di usion of quantization errors based on the input graylevel. Li and Allebach optimize error lter weights and thresholds for each (input) graylevel based on a human visual system model. This paper extends to...
